White shaker cabinetry, a dramatic honed dark slab island and countertops, matte black fixtures, and a subtle mosaic tile backsplash create a look that is clearly modern while still feeling at home in a 1940s neighborhood. The zellige tile in the kitchen adds a nod to vintage character that ties the old and new together beautifully.
